Hi there, friends! I’m SOOO excited to share this blog with you! Exactly a year ago today, I was in Atlanta, Georgia attending the Styled Shoots Across America Conference Round 2! This conference was held at 2400 on the River Venue. Friends. This venue is beyond GORGEOUS!!

The Conference

This conference was a two day experience that held 200 photographers along with a few wedding planners! Our day was divided between listening to inspiring speakers and the opportunity to photograph areas around the stunning venue.

A well-known photographer, Julie Paisley (Julie Paisley Photography) – provided tips from her past experiences, Paige Griffith (The Legal Paige) – explained the importance of contracts, and Lauren Grove (Every Last Detail blog) – presented tips to successful blogging and publishing weddings/sessions. These were just some of the speakers, and I was so excited to take home all of the valuable knowledge! The afternoons were dedicated to photographing all of the beautiful details of the venue, invitation suites and gorgeous models.

Additionally, so much history surrounds the beautiful 2400 on the River! Behind the venue on top of the mountainside hill is the beautiful solarium. This beautiful creation is from EuroDisney and the venue had it shipped to Georgia from Europe. The unique gazebos are from Italy and the poles lining the entrance walkway are from Central Park, New York. A historic light post next to one of the gazebos is originated from Paris. How cool is that?!

The Trip

One of the highlights of this trip was the opportunity to travel together with a local group of photographers! Our journey started in Cincinnati, Ohio and we drove our way down to Georgia!

We had some hiccups on the way down to Georgia. Okay. Maybe “hiccups” isn’t the right word. We used an app to navigate to our mountainside cabin, and it ended up taking us to the wrong mountain on the other side of town! What we thought was our cabin location, was really just a long path through a mountain with no cell phone service.

At one point we drove past an old shirtless guy standing in the middle of the woods staring at us while holding a pitchfork. You guys. This is how scary movies start, and we weren’t about to stop and ask for directions! Eventually we found cell service and switched to a different navigational app to find our cabin. At this point the original app kept telling us the location we entered didn’t exist.

On another note, the cabin was gorgeous with an overlook of the mountains!

I took over 2000 images from this conference, and the final gallery had nearly 500! It was sooo hard to narrow it down from 500 to a respectable amount for this blog, but here are some of my favorites!
