A Classic Black Wedding at Rosewood Manor — Rain and All
Rain on a wedding day doesn’t have to mean stress—and Erin and Andrew’s Rosewood Manor wedding is proof of that. From the very start, these two were completely go-with-the-flow, and that energy set the tone for the entire day. Even with steady rain, we captured a wedding that felt timeless, elegant, and full of joy!
Their classic black attire was the perfect match for Rosewood Manor’s refined aesthetic. The bridal party wore sleek black dresses, Andrew looked incredibly sharp in his black suit, and Erin—oh my goodness—was an absolute vision. Her timeless gown, glowing smile, and calm confidence made every moment feel effortless.
Making the Most of a Rainy Wedding Day
One of the many reasons I love photographing weddings at Rosewood Manor is how well the venue handles weather changes. With rain in the forecast, Magnolia had a seamless backup plan ready, shifting the ceremony indoors without skipping a beat. Their coordination team is always incredible to work with, and it’s one of the reasons I’m proud to be a preferred vendor here!
Even with the rain, we didn’t lose out on portraits. Rosewood’s covered balconies became our saving grace—and honestly, one of my favorite portrait locations of the day. We used the balconies for:
- Erin’s bridal portraits
- Groom + grooms-people photos
- Bride and bridesmaids portraits
- Full bridal party images
- First looks
The soft light, clean architecture, and rain-kissed atmosphere made everything feel extra romantic.
Sneaking Outside for Just a Bit of Magic
After the ceremony, the rain slowed to a light sprinkle, and we took advantage of it. Since the ceremony was already complete, Erin and Andrew were more than happy to embrace the moment—laughing, twirling, and enjoying being married. We even snuck over to the fountain area for a few extra portraits that were absolutely worth it.
And yes—their two pups made a surprise appearance, which instantly elevated the day. Family photos with fur babies will always have my heart.
Why Rosewood Manor Is Perfect—Rain or Shine
If you’re worried about the weather on your wedding day, Rosewood Manor is one of the best venues in Ohio to handle it beautifully. Indoor ceremony options, stunning covered balconies, and experienced coordinators make it a dream venue no matter the forecast.
