A Romantic Spring Wedding at The Estate at Sunset Farm

Wow you guys — Sammy and Jake’s spring wedding at The Estate at Sunset Farm was truly one of those days that photographers dream about. From heartfelt moments to thoughtful details and the prettiest spring light, everything about this wedding felt intentional, romantic, and full of joy. Fun fact: this was wedding three of three for me that weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday!), and somehow the light and energy just kept getting better.

The Estate at Sunset Farm is one of those venues that feels timeless and elegant while still being warm and inviting, and Sammy and Jake’s day fit the space perfectly.

Thoughtful Details and a Stunning Bridal Look

We started the day with flatlay details, and let me just say — Sammy absolutely nailed it. Every detail was carefully chosen and beautifully coordinated. One of my favorite touches was the envelope liner in the stationery suite, which featured a watercolor painting of the venue itself. These are the kinds of details that melt my heart because they tell such a personal story and photograph so beautifully.

Sammy wore a stunning strapless princess-style wedding dress that felt classic, romantic, and effortlessly elegant. She looked absolutely radiant. Her bridesmaids complemented her perfectly in blush and pink dresses with bows on the shoulders — such a sweet and feminine detail. Instead of traditional bouquets, the bridesmaids carried bridal baskets, and I am officially obsessed. They added such a charming, garden-inspired feel to the day and worked beautifully with the spring setting.

A First Hello Full of Emotion

Before the ceremony, we tucked Sammy and Jake away near a column on the property for their “first hello.” I always love recommending a first hello as an alternative to a first look. It’s such a beautiful way for couples to connect, read letters, exchange a few words, and calm any nerves without fully seeing each other before the ceremony.

These moments are always incredibly emotional, and Sammy and Jake’s first hello was no exception. It set the tone for the rest of the day and reminded everyone just how deeply these two care for one another.

Wedding Party Moments and a Very Special Guest

Afterward, we captured photos of Jake and his groomsmen, who looked incredibly sharp in classic black tuxes. Their energy was so fun, and it was clear how excited they all were to celebrate. One of the sweetest surprises of the day was their dog making an appearance — truly the cutest guest ever. I will never get tired of couples including their pets in their wedding day.

Sunset Portraits and Timeless Wedding Photos

Sammy and Jake’s husband-and-wife portraits were absolutely stunning. We photographed them at the altar, which featured a custom cross adorned with florals, creating such a meaningful and beautiful focal point. From there, we explored the property, capturing portraits with the willow tree, the house, the front lane, and the open lawn.

The spring sunset light was pure magic. That soft glow wrapped around them perfectly, giving their portraits such a romantic and timeless feel. The Estate at Sunset Farm truly shines during golden hour, and Sammy and Jake made the most of it.

Sammy and Jake’s wedding day was filled with love, laughter, and so many intentional moments. From the thoughtful details to the emotional first hello and glowing sunset portraits, every part of their day reflected who they are as a couple.
