Friends, I am so thrilled to share Katie and John’s beautiful wedding day at The View in Cincinnati! Fun fact — this was my very first wedding of 2025, and what a way to kick off the year! It was the perfect mix of timeless romance, meaningful moments, and joy-filled celebration.
I’m still swooning over how absolutely stunning Katie looked! Her veil was one of my favorite accessories of the day — so soft, flowy, and dreamy. She was a natural in front of the camera, and we had the sweetest moments of Katie and John snuggling behind the veil (yes, I melted!). She paired a delicate, dainty necklace with the most perfect jewelry to complete her bridal look. And John? He looked incredibly dapper in his classic black tux with a real bowtie. Effortless elegance.
Katie and John’s love story began right in Cincinnati, so it felt extra special that their venue overlooked the cityscape where their story started. The View is such a fitting location for a couple like them — modern, beautiful, and full of charm.
A Little Rain + A Lot of Magic
Although it rained off and on throughout the day, we were blessed with a magical five-minute window where the skies cleared. You know we made the most of it and snuck outside for portraits! We even celebrated with a champagne pop (a wedding day must, in my opinion!).
The View lives up to its name with its breathtaking floor-to-ceiling windows, giving us the dreamiest natural light indoors for portraits. You could see all of Cincinnati stretched out before us — including the Ohio River. And speaking of the river…
Let’s talk about the weather! The week leading up to Katie and John’s wedding was a whirlwind — quite literally! We had storms, tornado warnings, so much rain, and even flood alerts (which, honestly, are still showing up a week later). From those beautiful windows, we could actually see the river rising throughout the day and flooding nearby areas. It created a memorable backdrop and offered a truly unique perspective from the venue — a little surreal, and definitely unforgettable.
One of the absolute highlights? Katie and John’s choreographed first dance — and let me tell you, they nailed it! Their dip at the end of the aisle recessional was also perfection. Every detail was intentional and full of personality, which made the whole day even more fun to photograph.
Katie and John — thank you from the bottom of my heart for trusting me to capture your wedding day at The View. It was such a joy to witness and document the beginning of your next chapter together. Here are just a few sneak peeks from your wedding — I can’t wait for you to see the rest!
