A Stunning Summer Canopy Creek Wedding for Jenna & Ethan
Jenna and Ethan’s Canopy Creek wedding was one of those days that makes you want to slow down, soak it all in, and never leave. From the moment I arrived, the energy was incredible — joyful, relaxed, and filled with people who were genuinely excited to celebrate these two. As someone who grew up in Springboro, it was extra special seeing familiar faces throughout the day and even running into a few friends I hadn’t seen in years. It truly felt like a hometown celebration wrapped in the most beautiful summer wedding.
Canopy Creek is such a gem for Ohio weddings, and this June day showed off everything that makes the venue so special.
Getting Ready at Canopy Creek
The morning started with Jenna and her girls getting ready in the main building, split between the bridal suite and the upstairs loft. The getting ready area in this space is perfect, and it created such a calm, happy environment as hair and makeup wrapped up. Jenna was absolutely glowing — truly a goddess in her wedding dress. Once she put on her veil, the entire look came together in the most elegant, timeless way.
Meanwhile, Ethan and his groomsmen got ready in the groom’s suite connected to the horse barn. The vibes over there were relaxed and fun, with the guys playing cornhole and enjoying the moment before things became official. Ethan looked incredibly sharp in his blue suit — a perfect choice that stood out while still feeling classic and refined.
A Color Palette I’ll Never Get Over
If you know me, you know this color scheme has my whole heart. The bridal party wore matching navy suits for the guys and sage green dresses for the girls, and wow — it was perfection. Sage and navy is one of my all-time favorite wedding color combinations, especially for summer weddings, and it photographed beautifully against the greenery at Canopy Creek.
The entire bridal party looked cohesive, timeless, and effortlessly stylish, making portraits such a dream.
A Celebration Full of Energy and Heart
From the ceremony to cocktail hour and into the reception, the vibes were absolutely it. The reception space buzzed with laughter, dancing, and celebration, and one of the highlights was the ice cream trolley that rolled through later in the evening. It was such a fun, personal touch, and of course we had to capture a few photos of Jenna and Ethan enjoying dessert together.
These are the moments that make wedding days unforgettable — the unexpected fun, the shared laughs, and the quiet in-between moments that couples get to experience together.
Golden Hour Magic at Canopy Creek
And then… the sunset. Truly, I don’t think this one can be topped. During the reception, we snuck Jenna and Ethan out for sunset portraits, and Canopy Creek absolutely delivered. The sky lit up in the most unreal way, wrapping these two in golden light that felt almost cinematic.
These sunset portraits were pure magic — soft, romantic, and full of emotion. Jenna and Ethan soaked it in, and honestly, I almost didn’t want to leave either. It was one of those rare golden hours that you know will stand out forever.
A Day I Won’t Forget
Jenna and Ethan’s wedding day was joyful, heartfelt, and beautifully them. From the stunning details to the incredible sunset and nonstop celebration, every part of the day flowed effortlessly. Thank you both so much for trusting me to capture this milestone and for allowing me to be part of such a special celebration.
