Ohhh, my friends — I am beyond excited to share this blog with you! This past spring, I had the absolute joy and honor of capturing a stunning editorial session at Laurel Court in Cincinnati, and it was nothing short of magical.

This beautiful day was brought together by my talented photographer friend Alyssa with Alyssa Matt Photography and the wonderful Pauline with Enchanting Fleur Rentals. When I was invited to be a part of this creative vision, it was an immediate “yes!” — Laurel Court has been on my dream location list for so long, and this experience exceeded every expectation.

Ceremony Details That Took My Breath Away

The ceremony setup was beyond dreamy — nestled on the estate grounds, complete with a romantic arch and lush pink florals that perfectly framed the altar. The design felt timeless yet fresh, with soft pops of color that brought everything to life.

The couple I photographed? Absolutely the sweetest. The groom wore a deep emerald green suit that paired beautifully with the bride’s flowing gown. And the sleeves on her dress? STOP — so elegant, so whimsical! Every step around the venue with them felt like we were capturing a fairytale.

A Surprise Second Bride? Yes, Please!

As if one dreamy bride wasn’t enough — we had the opportunity to photograph a second look with the amazing Amy from Glass and Grace Events, and she was a vision. We explored the courtyard and grand staircases of Laurel Court with her, and let me just say… her gown was everything.

The blue floral detailing on her dress? Obsessed. (Light blue is my soul color — you all know this!) And those removable billowy sleeves? Such a fun, functional touch that gave the dress two completely different looks in one.

Reception Magic with a Sweetheart Twist

To close out the day, we created a beautifully styled intimate reception inside the mansion — complete with a charming sweetheart table. One of my favorite elements was the repurposed altar florals behind the table. This is one of my favorite tips for couples: reuse your florals throughout the day to maximize their beauty and your budget!

A Floral Game Changer

Now here’s the most surprising part — can you believe all of these florals were artificial? I couldn’t either! They looked absolutely real, and this is such a game changer, especially for couples with allergies or anyone wanting to preserve their florals beyond the wedding day. This editorial was the perfect way to showcase the work of a new, up-and-coming florist who is sure to make waves in the wedding world.
