The Most Beautiful Way to Begin the Wedding Season

Oh my goodness, friends!!! I have been looking foooooooorward to sharing this wedding with you!

Taylor and Jordan’s beautiful Benham’s Grove wedding was the very first wedding of my 2026 season (and my first wedding after maternity leave!), and I truly could not have asked for a better way to jump back in.

After spending some time at home soaking in those newborn snuggles, getting back behind the camera and celebrating such a special day with Taylor and Jordan felt extra meaningful. And let me tell you… this wedding was the perfect reminder of why I absolutely love what I do.

Their day took place at the brand new building at Benham’s Grove in Centerville, Ohio, and it is simply stunning. There are so many beautiful spaces throughout the property, and I was so excited to photograph their day there!

A Sweet Surprise Before Saying “I Do”

We started the day with one of my favorite kinds of wedding moments: quiet and emotional.

Before Taylor and Jordan saw each other, Taylor had a very special surprise waiting for him. Throughout their engagement, she had been writing notes to Jordan in a notebook for him to read on their wedding day.

How sweet is that?!

I love when couples include personal touches like this because those are the moments that truly tell your story. Long after the flowers are gone and the cake has been eaten, those little memories are what bring you right back to how the day felt.

Taylor’s Stunning Maggie Sottero Wedding Dress

Okay… let’s talk about Taylor’s dress.

The second I saw it, my jaw dropped.

It was absolutely gorgeous!

Taylor wore a Maggie Sottero gown, which honestly made me smile even more because that is the designer I wore for my own wedding dress. So maybe I’m a little biased, but wow… it was stunning.

And when Taylor put it on? Goosebumps.

Everything about it was perfect — the details, the fit, the way it moved, and especially that beautiful long veil she wore for portraits later in the day. It was one of those dresses that photographs like an absolute dream.

Taylor was also surrounded by the sweetest bridesmaids wearing beautiful light pink dresses, which complimented the entire day so perfectly.

A Beautiful Benham’s Grove Wedding Day

Benham’s Grove has so many incredible backdrops for wedding portraits, and we had so much fun exploring the property throughout the day.

From the ceremony space, to the arches underneath the main awning area, the steps, patio, pond, and gardens tucked throughout the property — there were so many places that gave us a completely different look.

I always love venues that allow couples to have variety without spending their entire wedding day traveling from location to location, and Benham’s Grove does exactly that.

The Dreamiest Sunset Portraits

After Taylor and Jordan became husband and wife, we spent some time taking their newlywed portraits around the property.

And then came the sunset…

OH MY GOODNESS.

This was the kind of sunset that couples dream of having on their wedding day. The light was absolutely magical, and I am so glad we snuck away for just a few minutes to soak it all in.

Not only did we get some of my favorite portraits from the day, but it was also the perfect time to photograph Taylor’s dress bustled and capture a totally different look.

These little moments are some of my favorites because they give couples a chance to step away from the excitement, take a breath, and just enjoy being newly married.

It was beyond fun getting to celebrate with you both, document this incredible season of your lives, and create so many memories together. I truly feel like I gained new friends through this process, and that is such a gift.

Your day was full of so much love, laughter, and happiness, and I am so grateful I got to be there.

I already cannot wait for our next adventure together!

And I’m also already counting down until my next Benham’s Grove wedding this fall, I have a feeling it is going to be just as beautiful.
